Perez Velazquez suffered head trauma, wounds in abdomen, thorax and pelvis, as well as arm and forearm.

Three of the eight passengers aboard the bus had a nervous breakdown when they saw the seriousness of the accident and they were treated by paramedics.

Edward Rene Aguilar Torres, driver of the truck plate 800-431-Y, was traveling from south to north on 56th Street, but on arriving at the 65th hit Perez Velazquez. The bus knocked him down and ran over his abdomen.

Municipal PlicĂa Agents arrested the driver and turned him over to prosecutors. Verifiers of the Department of Transportation must report to punish the bus company.

For 30 minutes the traffic was closed to avoid interference with work of the paramedics, which was followed by dozens of onlookers from nearby businesses, pedestrians and market tenants Lucas de Galvez who came to see what happened.
